The passing of a loved one is an emotionally taxing experience, and grieving family members are also tasked with planning the funeral and writing thank-you cards once it’s over. While sending flowers to bereaved families used to be the go-to gesture, many people are opting for memorial donations and cash registries to commemorate departed loved ones and their families.


Flowers vs. Charitable Donations
When it comes to giving memorial gifts, the family of the deceased will often make clear what type of gifts they prefer, and sometimes mention a specific charity to donate to in the deceased’s name. You can also donate the same amount of money as you would have spent on a floral arrangement to a charity that may have a special significance if they haven’t specified an organization.
